London Mills, a sophomore shortstop for Chaminade's softball team, is having a strong season with a .312 batting average. While she excels on the softball diamond, she plays soccer as well, though she is glad she does not have to face her mother on the field.

Her mother, Jackie Mills, was a standout soccer player at Chatsworth High School and later played at the University of Southern California. Given Jackie's athletic background, London says it's probably for the best that their competitive paths don't cross in soccer.
