Four former Alabama State basketball players have been found guilty of manipulating games for sports betting purposes, resulting in their permanent ineligibility from NCAA competition. The NCAA committee determined that the athletes violated sports betting rules, with one player admitting involvement in the misconduct.
Three of the four players did not cooperate with the investigation, according to the committee's findings. The lack of cooperation from the majority of those involved complicated the review process. As a result of the violations, the NCAA has imposed permanent ineligibility on all four individuals.
