Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, Director of Ghana's National Sports Authority, has stated that Ghana is no longer a football powerhouse. He attributed the decline to poor sporting facilities and deteriorating standards in the sport.
Ankrah emphasized that the current state of football infrastructure and development systems in the country no longer supports the level of excellence once associated with Ghanaian football. He called for urgent reforms and investment to reverse the trend.
